The curriculum for Grade 5 computer class includes learning basic skills used for

  •    file management, which includes using the MJHS server;
  •    keyboarding, locating and using the alphabetic keys without sight;
  •    word processing, which includes creating, formating and editing documents;
  •    spreadsheets, entering data, and creating graphs; and
  •    Internet safety, which includes distinguishing being identity information and personal information.



The curriculum for Grade 6 computer class includes learning basic skills used for
  •    file management, which includes using the MJHS server;
  •    keyboarding, locating and using the alphabetic keys without sight;
  •    word processing, which includes creating, formatting, and editing documents;
  •    graphic organization, using Inspiration software to organize information in a web/graphic or an outline;
  •    spreadsheets, entering data, using formulas, and creating graphs;
  •    Internet safety, which includes distinguishing being identity information and personal information;
  •    Internet searching, which includes recognizing bias of websites;
  •    presentations, which includes creating, formatting, and editing presentations; and
  •    peripherals, accessing the library card catalog and digital cameras.




The curriculum for Grade 7 computer class includes learning basic skills used for
  •    Desktop publishing, which includes creating, editing, and formatting documents;
  •    Internet safety, which includes distinguishing being identity information and personal information;
  •    Internet searching, which includes recognizing bias of websites;
  •    iMovies, which includes creating and editing raw video; and
  •    peripherals, digital video cameras.



The curriculum for Grade 8 computer class includes learning basic skills used for
