Now that you have completed all of the questions and summaries, you are ready for the project.  Make sure you have submitted all you work to the server with your name in the title.

Project Objective
Write a history of the Indians in Maine for a Maine History text book.   It should provide an easy to read history of the Indians in Maine for other seventh graders to read.  Then comes the fun part.  Write a paragraph about: What life in Maine would be like today if the Indians' culture was dominant, not the European culture?" (take some time and think about it).
Requirements

Microsoft Word, Times, 16 Font, Name and Title on top center
Consult the rubric to make sure you are doing what is asked

Your history needs to include the following:

Early history of people in Maine (pre-1200)
1200-to the arrival of Europeans
Wars with Europeans
Specifically name tribes and where they are in Maine
Business relationship with Europeans
If the Indians controlled the English

Exceed the Standard:
Add a section on present day Maine Indians (based on facts you find)
Structure
Introduction
5-8 paragraphs of information
Conclusion

Bibliography (Follow Website format on th wall)
       Site address, author(individual or group), contact information, date last updated
