The Wabanaki Indians
of Maine are the
original occupiers of the land that is presently Maine. The
English and the French settlers came to the New World in the 1600's and
beyond. The goal of this project is to give you a better
understanding of Wabanaki people and what they were
like before the Europeans came and how they dealt with them after their
arrival.
Always be thinking about, "What Maine would be like
today if the Indians' culture was dominant, not the European culture?"
